30 years ago, Wish was released by The Cure. The first time I heard "Friday, I'm in Love," I was hooked. I was 10 years old belting out the lyrics to this song. Over time, the rest of the album spoke to me, inspired me, and helped me through a lot of tough times. The violin on "To Wish Impossible Things," the piano on "Trust," the lyrics. OMG they lyrics. And Robert Smith's vocals. All of it still gives me chills to this day. I listened to this album a lot when writing Pieces of Me, and some of the songs landed on the playlist. What an incredible album. COOKIES. I think Cookie Monster would be proud. Some of my favorite classics. I can remember the moment I first read them. Some I was a kid... others I was much older. But I remember the feelings they gave me. What are some of your favorites? Nothing like a little @jimmyeatworld to help me get some writing done for my project. ❤️❤️❤️ Spent the day at the Out of the Darkness Walk by @afsp_ga yesterday. It was an incredible experience meeting hundreds of people and connecting with other volunteers. Spending the day with survivors and those who lost someone to suicide was beautiful.
