Woohoo!

I finished the second draft of the second book in my series. I have two titles I’m toying with right now and once I finally decide, I’ll reveal it. A lot of people have asked when it will be released. I’m not 100% sure of an exact date, but I’m hoping for maybe a May/June release. I’m currently editing it and then will have a couple of people edit it. I’m really excited about this one though. It’s complex and dark and I hope my readers really enjoy it. There will always be that fear that people will absolutely think it’s no good.

I had a friend ask me one day how I was able to put my writing out there (actually, I get asked this a lot). Not everyone will like what you write and I’ve received some fairly harsh reviews, but I can’t let that stop me. I just have to learn from them and move on. I write to entertain and to help people in some way with my messages. But mostly, I just love writing and I want to share it with the world. It is very daunting to have someone read it but at least I made the step in putting it out there.

For now, it’s time for me to put on my editing shoes and be tough on my writer self. But that’s what you have to do in order to make your book strong. I may print it out and sit outside and edit. Unless that’ll make me too much of a softee and I’ll be like “this is great!” And then get distracted by the beautiful weather. It is rather tempting…
